We provide bespoke products against specific requirements, developed from our own research lines. We also interact through collaborative grant-funded project applications, and similar routes. We are registered on the Gov.UK and EU tenders and funding portals.
Our products operate on MS Windows on PCs (i.e., not cloud-based). These can be designed for usage by diverse audiences (e.g., researchers, communicators, managers). No coding skills are required by users. Our products can be fully annotated with pop-up information, user manuals, and can include links to videos and websites. If required, bidirectional data exchange can be configured between the simulator and Excel.
Below we provide some example product lines.
Plankton and microalgae simulators for Researchers and Managers. Our bespoke simulators provide dynamic interactive summaries of information. These enable users to experiment with different scenarios to help guide research and management. Our products can describe complex abiotic and biotic interactions, including applications coupling ’omics to simulation models. The interactive dynamic mode of our simulators helps to better engage and inform the user. Thus, our products can inform a broad range of audiences from the public to policymakers to researchers.

Supporting algal biotech and aquaculture. In an arena with many scaling, logistic and financial challenges, our products provide a means to experiment quickly and economically with options affecting productivity and risk management.

COMING AUTUMN 2026: Supporting mesocosm operations. Mesocosms provide an intermediate setting between flask cultures and field experimentation providing a route to controlled studies of natural aquatic ecosystems. Our products can help optimise the design of mesocosm studies and then assist in understanding what actually happened.

Outreach and Literacy on aquatic ecosystem and aquaculture topics for Teachers and Communicators. Plankton ecology is a key component of the ecosphere. Aquaculture provides a source of sustainable high quality food production. Through incorporation of gamification-style interfaces, our simulation platforms can provide engaging tools for communication.
